Karanak is the Hound of Vengeance, the favoured Flesh Hound of Khorne and the living embodiment of the Blood God's wrath against those who break faith with him. A monstrous three-headed daemon-beast in the service of the Blades of Khorne, Karanak was raised from the pack to be Khorne's personal instrument of retribution, and its three heads are said to hunt across past, present and future, meaning no quarry can escape by any road. When a coward flees a battle he swore to fight, when an oathbreaker forsakes a blood-pact, or when a fool blasphemes against Khorne, the Blood God whispers their scent to Karanak, and from that moment the victim is already doomed. The hound will cross realms and years to run its prey to ground, tireless and unswerving, dragging the guilty down no matter how far or how cleverly they flee. Its baying is a death-knell heard in nightmares, and its arrival means the debt owed to Khorne has come due at last. Against Karanak there is no bargain, no hiding place and no mercy — only the taking of the skull.
