Legion Deredeo Dreadnought

The Horus Heresy

A fire-support Dreadnought whose interred veteran and projected aegis make it a walking bastion for the VII Legion's defensive lines.

Few war-machines suited the Imperial Fists' defensive genius so perfectly as the Legion Deredeo Dreadnought, an archaic fire-support frame that fought like a bastion given legs. Interring a venerable warrior within its formidable hull, the Deredeo commanded batteries of autocannon, hellfire missiles, or plasma weaponry, and could project an atomantic aegis that hardened the air around the VII's warriors against incoming fire, a shield of energy to complement their walls of stone. Rogal Dorn's Legion built its wars around unbreakable positions, and the Deredeo anchored them absolutely, sweeping the sky clear of enemy flyers and grinding down every assault that dared approach its arc of fire. Its interred ancient never tired and never flinched, holding a line with the same tireless resolve the living Imperial Fists prized above all virtues. To an enemy hurling himself against a Fists defence, the Deredeo was one more reason that no wall the VII manned would ever be easily taken.
