Terminator armor suited the Imperial Fists's temperament almost perfectly, its sheer durability an extension of the same philosophy that governed the Legion's entire approach to war: absorb what the enemy throws, and answer with immovable force. Where some Legions used their Terminators primarily for shock assault, the VII Legion just as often committed them to the defense of a single critical strongpoint, trusting the armor's resilience to let a handful of warriors hold a chokepoint against odds that would annihilate lesser troops.
When deployed offensively, Imperial Fists Terminators advanced with the same grinding inevitability the Legion brought to every siege, closing the distance under fire that would scatter conventional infantry and delivering a killing blow with a calm, methodical brutality. Their presence on a battlefield signaled that the Legion had judged the position vital enough to commit its most heavily armored warriors, a commitment the VII Legion rarely made lightly and even more rarely regretted.
