The Falchion Super-Heavy Tank Destroyer was a towering armoured killer of the Legiones Astartes, built upon the Fellblade super-heavy chassis and armed with a turret-mounted volcano cannon. This immense weapon, capable of tracking targets across a wide arc, allowed the Falchion to engage and destroy enemy titans and super-heavy vehicles at extreme range with single, catastrophic shots.
Unlike fixed-hull destroyers, the Falchion's rotating turret granted it far greater tactical flexibility, letting it reposition its firepower without exposing the vehicle to flanking manoeuvres. Its thick armour and formidable secondary weapons meanwhile allowed it to weather return fire and fend off assaulting infantry while it hunted the greatest prizes on the battlefield.
Produced only in small numbers and jealously guarded, the Falchion represented a pinnacle of Legion armoured might. The Imperial Fists, renowned for their mastery of siege and heavy war, fielded these engines to devastating effect, while the Mechanicum oversaw the volcano cannon's exacting maintenance and the machine's temperamental power core.
