House Lucaris was consumed by the Eye of Terror long ages ago, its Knight World dragged into the warp during one of the great storms that wracked the galaxy's edge. Where a lesser lineage would have perished, Lucaris made a bargain. Its lords opened their god-machines to the daemons that thronged the immaterium, inviting them into the sacred frames of the Throne Mechanicum, and in the doing damned themselves forever.
Today every war-suit of House Lucaris carries a passenger. The daemon and the pilot are fused into a single raging entity, engine and spirit sharing one purpose, the desecration of all that the Emperor made. The machines of Lucaris weep boiling ichor and speak in the voices of the damned; their weapons spit warp-flame that burns the soul as readily as the flesh. Time flows strangely for the house, and its scions have marched to war across ten thousand years without ageing a day.
When Lucaris emerges from the Eye, it comes as a hellish carnival of god-machines, banners of flayed skin snapping in warp-winds and brazen horns sounding across the field. The very ground blisters beneath their tread, and reality frays where their shadows fall.
