The War of Fenris saw the ancestral home of the Space Wolves besieged by the corruption of the Plague God, as the daemon primarch's servants sought to claim the death-world for the powers of the warp. A great fleet of pestilence-ridden vessels descended upon the Fenris System, and the skies above the frozen world churned with the sickly light of daemonic incursion.
The Space Marines of the Space Wolves fought with the feral fury for which they are feared, hurling themselves against tides of plague-bearing horrors. Yet this was no honest war of blade and bolter, but a creeping spiritual sickness that seeped into the very rock of Fenris. The world itself began to change, its oceans boiling and its ancient monsters twisting into corrupted mockeries, as the touch of Chaos threatened to remake the sacred homeworld into a garden of decay.
Logan Grimnar led his Chapter through the nightmare, and the Sons of Russ were joined by Grey Knights and Inquisitorial forces in the desperate cleansing. The daemonic assault was ultimately cast back into the warp, but the victory left deep scars. Fenris survived, yet the certainty that even the Fang could be assailed and defiled shook the Space Wolves to their core, a grim omen of the darker age already dawning across the Imperium.
