Bastonne is the birthplace of the Uniter, and it has never for a single hour been permitted to forget it. Here, in the very heart of Bretonnia, Gilles le Breton was born a son of the dukedom; here he first gathered his Grail Companions and rode out to break the greenskin tides in the twelve great battles that forged a kingdom from a scatter of feuding lords. Every stone of Bastonne remembers the founding, and every knight raised beneath its banner is measured against a legend no living man can equal — which does not stop them, for one waking hour of their lives, from trying.
The dukedom's knighthood rides as though the founder himself sat watching from the saddle at their side, and the result is a courage that shades past valour into the frankly unreasonable. Under dukes such as Bohemond Beastslayer, Bastonne has charged uphill against odds that wiser realms would flee, held bridges that could not be held, and hunted monsters the length of the kingdom purely to be worthy of the name it bears. To the rest of Bretonnia this is magnificent and a little exhausting. To Bastonne it is merely the debt owed the man who made them, paid in the only coin he ever valued: glory, and the willingness to die for it.

The Bastonne field the units of the Kingdom of Bretonnia — a detachment from the roster:
Kindred formations
Other Kingdom of Bretonnia formations
BordeleauxThe great port dukedom of Bretonnia's western shore, rich in wine, salt, and ships, where chivalry has learned to keep its footing on a rolling deck. Bordeleaux's knights patrol sea lanes as well as marches, and its dukes hold that a lord owes his people plenty as well as protection.
CouronneThe royal dukedom of Bretonnia's northern coast, seat of the king and the standard by which all chivalry in the Old World is measured. Couronne's white-and-silver knights guard the crown, the great tourney grounds, and a shoreline forever tested by Norscan longships — and they are expected, always, to be perfect.
LyonesseA storm-hammered coastal dukedom whose knights are accounted the fiercest in Bretonnia, forever at war with raiders from the sea and rivals on land. Lyonesse was the home of Landuin, most perfect of the Grail Companions, and the memory of that unmatchable glory drives its knighthood to a pride that borders on fury.
