The Brass Bull

Taurox the Brass Bull

A monstrous minotaur bound in living brass, driven by a rage so total that he has forgotten everything but the joy of killing.

Taurox the Brass Bull is rage given a body and then sheathed in metal. Already a monster among monsters, a minotaur of prodigious size and fury, he was transformed forever when he bathed in a pool of molten brass sacred to the Blood God, the metal fusing to his hide and armouring him in a shell that no ordinary weapon can pierce. The change cost him whatever dim mind he once possessed.

Taurox now knows nothing but slaughter. He does not lead the herds so much as roll through the world at their head like a runaway engine of destruction, his twin axes rising and falling without pause, his brass hide ringing with the blows that fail to stop him. He feels no pain, remembers no yesterday, and pursues no goal beyond the next thing to kill. The beastmen follow him because destruction on such a scale can only be a blessing of the Blood God, and because it is far safer to run in Taurox's wake than to stand anywhere in his path. He is unstoppable precisely because there is nothing left inside him to stop, and nothing he wants that the killing does not give.
