The great two-handed warhammer of the Stormcast Dracothian Guard, its every swing gathering the fury of the storm before it falls like a thunderbolt.

Borne into battle by the Lord-Celestants of the Stormcast Eternals as they ride to war upon their Dracoths, the Tempestos Hammer is a weapon that seems to carry the tempest itself within its head. Wrought of gleaming sigmarite and graven with sigils of Azyr, it is longer and heavier than the hammers of the common Liberators, a weapon meant for a champion who leads the charge from the front of a Stormhost.

The magic bound within the Tempestos Hammer feeds upon momentum. As a Lord-Celestant thunders forward astride his beast, the hammer gathers the wind of the charge and the crackling static of the storm, until it seems wreathed in a corona of pale lightning. When at last it descends, it strikes with the accumulated wrath of the entire onset, caving in armour and shattering the earth beneath the foe in a peal of thunder that echoes across the battlefield.

To those who wield it, the hammer is more than a tool of war; it is a symbol of leadership and sacrifice. A Lord-Celestant who carries the Tempestos Hammer is expected to be first into the fray and last to fall back, and the weapon answers that courage, growing more terrible the deeper into the enemy ranks its bearer plunges. Where it falls, whole regiments break, and the name of the God-King rings out over the ruin.
