The Glaivewraith Stalkers are simple, terrible spirits, the ghosts of those whose lives ended in the grip of a single overriding purpose, now doomed to pursue that fixation for all eternity. Among the Nighthaunt they serve as relentless hunters, gliding forward with their long glaives lowered like the tusks of a charging boar, utterly heedless of the fire and fury arrayed against them. Their menace lies not in cunning but in inevitability; a Glaivewraith fixes upon its quarry and advances without pause, without fear, and without any flicker of the doubt that might slow a living foe. The faster their prey attempts to flee, the swifter and more frenzied their pursuit becomes, their spectral forms accelerating into a keening charge. Impaled upon their glaives, victims find the weapons pass through armour as though it were mist. To be marked by the Stalkers is to feel the awful certainty of a death that will not be outrun, coming on at the same dreadful, gliding pace no matter how far or how fast one runs.
