The Spoilpox Scrivener is a Herald of Nurgle set to the most thankless duty in the Garden: keeping the plaguebearers at their counting. Where the tallybands drone their census of every pox ever gifted, the Scrivener capers among them, screeching corrections, bawling encouragement, and lashing the distracted back to their sums with a long tongue that lolls obscenely from its grinning maw.
It is part overseer, part cheerleader, and wholly devoted to the Tally. A Spoilpox Scrivener drives the plaguebearers around it to fresh heights of murderous diligence, its shrieked exhortations making their plagueswords bite deeper and their count climb faster. A menial Tallyman it may be, but the Scrivener takes fierce pride in its clerkship, for to number the Grandfather's gifts is to know his generosity in full. It marches to war brandishing a balesword and a sheaf of mouldering ledgers, and it is never so happy as when the day's slaughter gives it a great many new deaths to record.
