The Eidolon of Mathlann, Aspect of the Storm is the fury of a dead god given shape, a colossal avatar conjured by the deep-aelf priesthood from the lingering essence of Mathlann, the drowned god of the sea. This aspect embodies the ocean at its most merciless: the tempest, the crashing wave, the cold vengeance of the deep, and it wades into battle wreathed in living storm to shatter all before it.
With spear and tempestuous power it strikes like a breaking sea-wall, hurling foes aside and calling down the wrath of the drowned heavens. Among the Idoneth Deepkin the summoning of an Eidolon is an act of desperate reverence, for it is as close as the soul-starved aelves can come to walking beside their lost deity. The Storm Aspect is their god as they most need him in war: pitiless, overwhelming, and utterly without restraint. To the enemies of the deepkin it is the ocean itself risen up to drown them, a god of vengeance striding from the ethersea to make the surface world pay, at last, for the ancient wrongs done to the children of the deep.
