The Anvils of the Heldenhammer are among the most solemn and grim of all the Stormhosts, a brotherhood of stormcast-eternals who have been reforged so many times that the sundering of their souls has worn them into living echoes of the grave. Silent, funereal, and unyielding, they wage war with the patient certainty of those who have already glimpsed the far side of death.
Drawn to the Realm of Shyish and the endless struggle against the undead, the Anvils fight beneath skull-marked banners and command the very lightning of Azyr with a discipline born of grim experience. Their warriors speak little, for each has left something of themselves upon the Anvil of Apotheosis with every return to the God-King's forge.
More than any other Stormhost, the Anvils understand the terrible price of immortality. They endure it without complaint, a sombre legion of eternal soldiers who march ever onward, bound to Sigmar's cause long after the memory of their mortal lives has faded to shadow.
