The Flesh-eater Delusion

The Flesh-eater Delusion is the shared madness that binds the cannibal courts of the ghouls, a waking dream in which degenerate corpse-eaters believe themselves to be noble knights and gallant kings. Cursed by the vampire Ushoran, these wretched beings perceive their rotting warrens as gleaming castles, their squirming feasts as sumptuous banquets, and their own hideous forms as gilded champions of chivalry.

The flesh-eater-courts wage war under the sway of this delusion, charging into battle convinced they are righteous defenders of a glorious realm that exists only in their broken minds. An Abhorrant Ghoul King commands imagined legions with the certainty of a true monarch, never comprehending the horror of what he truly is.

This grand madness is at once tragic and monstrous, a mercy and a curse. It shields the ghouls from the truth of their damnation even as it drives them to acts of unspeakable savagery, forever chasing the phantom of a nobility they can never possess.
