The Abhorrant Gorewarden is a martial lord among the Flesh-eater Courts, a ghoul-king who has cast aside the pretence of courtly refinement for the naked joy of slaughter and the feast that follows. Where other Abhorrants imagine themselves gracious hosts, the Gorewarden fancies himself the court's greatest warrior-champion, and he leads from the front of the bloodiest assaults, hurling himself and his most rabid followers into the thickest press of the enemy. Around him gather the horde's fiercest feasters, drawn to his savagery as ghouls are ever drawn to fresh meat, and together they carve a red road through the foe. The Gorewarden fights with berserk abandon, his talons and fangs never still, and each kill he makes feeds both his strength and the frenzy of the ghouls at his side. In the delusion of the court he is a paragon of chivalric valour winning honour on the field; in truth he is a whirlwind of teeth and claws presiding over a massacre, the living embodiment of the court's endless, ravenous hunger for the gore-feast.
