Death Cult Assassins

Fanatical blade-artists from the Imperium's death cults, who offer every drop of spilled blood to the Emperor and serve Inquisitor, priest and Rogue Trader as peerless killers.

Across the Imperium there exist cults that worship the God-Emperor through the giving of death, treating murder as a sacrament and the perfect kill as an act of devotion. From these death cults come some of the deadliest assassins in the galaxy, killers so refined in their lethal art that the Inquisition, the Ecclesiarchy, and even Rogue Trader dynasties are willing to take such fanatics into their service despite the unease their beliefs inspire.

A Death Cult Assassin trains without end, honing body and blade until every motion is economical and every strike is fatal. To such a devotee, each cut opened and each drop of blood spilled is an offering laid before the Emperor, and they go about their grim work with the serene rapture of a worshipper at prayer. They favour exotic ritual weapons, slender power stilettos and envenomed blades backed by concealed digi-weapons and needlers, and wield them with a grace that makes their butchery look almost like dance.

The Ecclesiarchy, forbidden its own standing armies, has long found a use for these killers within its Battle Conclaves, reasoning that a cult which sacrifices to the Emperor is a lesser evil than one which does not. Inquisitors, too, prize them, and some go so far as to have their cult-killers schooled in the disciplines of the Officio Assassinorum, sharpening an already superlative murderer into something honed and terrible indeed.
