The Ork Clans are the great cultural divisions of the Orks, broad affiliations that shape how a greenskin fights, dresses and makes war. Unlike the rigid castes of other races, the clans are loose and instinctive groupings, an Ork simply is a Goff or an Evil Sun by temperament, drawn to the ways that best suit his nature.
Six great clans dominate greenskin culture. The Goffs are the biggest and most brutal, revelling in close-quarters slaughter. The Evil Sunz worship speed, painting everything red and racing into battle on bikes and buggies. The Bad Moons, richest of all, boast the finest guns, while the Deathskulls loot and scavenge, the Snakebites cling to old ways, and the Blood Axes trade and scheme with other races.
On the battlefield the clans blur together beneath the banner of a mighty Warboss, for an Ork's loyalty is ultimately to the biggest and strongest. Yet clan identity endures, colouring the endless, exuberant violence that defines the greenskin race.
