Horse Archers are the swift Ungol riders who scout, screen, and skirmish for the armies of Kislev, and there are no finer light cavalry among the men of the Old World. Born to the saddle on the endless oblast, they loose arrow after arrow at a full gallop, twisting to shoot even as they flee, and no enemy on foot can catch or pin them. In war they range far ahead of the host, watching the northern passes for the first stirrings of a Chaos incursion and carrying word south before the danger arrives. On the battlefield they harry the enemy's flanks and rear, wearing down heavy troops with stinging volleys, running down stragglers, and luring the foe into the open where the lancers and Kossars can destroy them. Lightly armoured and lightly held, they trust to speed and cunning rather than armour, and they fight the endless war of the frontier the way the Ungols always have — patiently, from horseback, with an arrow already nocked.
