The Devoted of Sigmar are the mortal congregation of the God-King's faith, a vast and ragged brotherhood of warrior-priests, flagellants, and pilgrims who carry Sigmar's word into the darkest reaches of the Mortal Realms. Where the Stormcast Eternals descend as living thunderbolts, the Devoted come on foot, in their thousands, singing hymns as they march toward the guns of Chaos.
Foremost among them are the flagellants — souls who have gazed too long upon the horrors of the age and been broken and remade by faith. Stripped of fear and reason alike, they scourge their own flesh and hurl themselves into battle with flails and cudgels, certain that death in Sigmar's service is the only worthy end. The warrior-priests who lead them channel raw devotion into miracles, turning aside daemon-fire with a raised hammer and a shouted prayer.
The Devoted fill the temples of the Cities of Sigmar and follow every crusade beyond the walls. They are the mortar of the faith, expendable and inexhaustible, and though generals spend their lives without stint, the God-King's shrines are never wanting for the fervent and the doomed.
