The Age of Beasts, also called the Era of the Beast, is the age heralded by the return of Kragnos, the Destroyer of Prophecy. His breaking free from ancient imprisonment shattered the certainties of the age that came before, unleashing a tide of primal savagery across the Mortal Realms. Where once the servants of Order believed civilisation would be reclaimed, now the wild things of the world rise in terrible ascendance.
In this age the forces of Destruction surge with renewed fury, as the orruk-warclans and their kin answer the call of a resurgent god of ruin. Migrations of monsters and beast-herds sweep across realm after realm, and even the disciplined armies of Sigmar find themselves fighting a war of survival against the untamed.
The age marks a darkening of hope. The godbeasts stir, prophecy itself lies broken, and the realms shudder beneath hooves and claws. It is a time when raw strength eclipses learning, and the meek are trampled beneath the coming of the beasts.
