The Dark Prophet

Great Bray-Shaman Ashruk

A towering prophet-shaman who hears the whispers of the wild gods in wind and root, leading his warherd on pilgrimages of ruin against the works of civilisation.

Great Bray-Shaman Ashruk is a prophet of the primal darkness, one of the eldest and most feared spellcasters of the braytribes. Where lesser shamans mutter and caper, Ashruk speaks with the voice of the wild gods themselves, hearing their commands in the groan of ancient trees and the shriek of the storm, and he has led his warherd on a decades-long pilgrimage of destruction against everything the civilised realms have built.

He wields the untamed magic of Chaos as naturally as breathing, channelling the fury of the wilds to blast his enemies apart, twist their flesh, and rouse the very land against them. Around his gnarled staff crackles the raw power of the Dark Woods, and beneath his gaze the works of men crumble back toward the wilderness he serves. His hatred of walls, roads, and temples is a religious thing, absolute and unappeasable.

Ashruk preaches a single, savage gospel: that all civilisation is an affront to the wild, a cage to be broken and overgrown. His warherd follows him not as a chieftain but as a herald of the end of all such cages, and wherever the Dark Prophet raises his staff, the beastmen come howling out of the treeline to tear down another monument to the ordered world.
