Emperor-class Battleship

The Divine Right

A cathedral of guns and gilded adamantium, this Emperor-class battleship is a floating fortress-world that carries the Emperor's judgement into the void.

The Divine Right is a leviathan of the Astra Militarum war-effort's void-borne twin, an Emperor-class battleship whose kilometres of hull bristle with weapon batteries, lance arrays, and a broadside capable of scouring a continent to ash. Named for the sacred authority of the Master of Mankind, she is at once warship, cathedral, and mustering-fortress, her gothic spires crowned with reliquaries and her decks trod by tens of thousands of ratings, gun-crews, and armsmen who are born, serve, and die without ever glimpsing the void beyond her armoured shell.

Within her hangar bays wait squadrons of attack craft and the launch-cradles that vomit forth assault boats laden with soldiery of the Emperor's armies. When she anchors above a rebel world, her shadow alone has broken sieges, for few sights so wither the courage of the faithless as the slow approach of an Imperial Navy capital ship.

Her bridge-choirs chant the litanies of targeting as her lance-fire splits enemy cruisers stem to stern. Across a thousand years of service The Divine Right has weathered ork rok and heretic armada alike, her void shields flaring like a second sun. Where she sails, the writ of Terra sails with her, and no traitor's plea for mercy has ever risen high enough to reach her guns.
