The Planet Killer is a vessel that lives up to the sheer arrogance of its name, a colossal battleship forged in the fires of the Eye of Terror around a single unspeakable purpose. Its bow is dominated by the Armageddon Gun, a weapon of such enormity that it can split a planet's crust and boil away its oceans in one apocalyptic discharge. It is the crowning terror of Abaddon the Despoiler's fleets.
Crafted by the corrupted artisans and daemon-smiths of Chaos, the ship is more than mere metal; it is a monument to the malice of the Chaos Space Marines and the Long War they wage against all the Emperor holds dear. Its void shields could weather the fury of a battlefleet, and its escort of lesser warships turns any engagement into a slaughter. Few Imperial admirals have faced it and survived to give warning.
During Abaddon's Black Crusades, the Planet Killer has murdered worlds and shattered the resolve of entire sectors. The destruction of a populous planet before the eyes of its neighbours is a weapon of terror as much as of war, and the Despoiler wields that terror as gladly as he wields the gun itself.
So long as the Planet Killer prowls the void, no world within reach of the Eye can count itself safe. It is annihilation given hull and engine, patient and utterly without mercy.
