The Legion Storm Eagle Gunship was a natural weapon for a Legion that fought from the sky, a heavy assault flyer the Blood Angels bore into war like a great bird of prey clad in crimson and gold. It came down in a screaming stoop, guns blazing, to set a squad of the Ninth amid the enemy at the very moment their descent could break him, then climbed away to fall again elsewhere. The sons of Sanguinius flew their Storm Eagles with the same grace they brought to every art of war, treating the machine less as a transport than as an extension of their own winged assault. To mortal defenders the sight of those gilded hulls breaking the clouds was a thing of terrible beauty, the last splendour many would ever see. Through the horror of Signus and the long road to Terra, the Storm Eagles carried the Angel's host into the fiercest fighting of the age.
