A Living Saint is a mortal servant of the Imperial faith so blessed by the God-Emperor that they become a vessel of divine power made flesh. Most often arising from among the Adepta Sororitas, these hallowed figures are held to be miracles walking, proof that the Emperor watches over His faithful and rewards devotion beyond measure.
The path to sainthood is paved in martyrdom and faith. A Living Saint frequently emerges from an act of supreme sacrifice, returning transfigured, wreathed in holy radiance and bearing powers no mortal should possess. They heal grievous wounds, turn aside enemy fire and inspire armies to feats of impossible valour, their mere presence a beacon of the Emperor's grace.
The most renowned of all is Saint Celestine, the Living Saint who has fallen in battle countless times only to rise again, her death never final. To the armies of the Imperium, a Living Saint is a miracle that steels a billion hearts; to the enemies of Mankind, an omen of holy wrath incarnate.
