The Imperial Creed is the state religion of the Imperium of Man, the vast and rigid faith that proclaims the Emperor of Mankind to be the one true God of humanity. Enforced across a million worlds by the Adeptus Ministorum, the Creed demands unwavering devotion, tithed offerings of prayer and blood, and eternal vigilance against the heretic, the mutant, and the alien.
Though the Emperor himself is said to have denied his own divinity during the Great Crusade, ten thousand years of suffering and superstition have hardened worship of him into the central pillar of human society. To question the Creed is heresy; to abandon it is death. Its priests, preachers, and warrior-nuns of the Adepta Sororitas carry the flame of faith into every corner of the galaxy, purging doubt with fire and sword.
The Creed teaches that the Emperor watches over the faithful from the Golden Throne, that suffering in his name is holy, and that only through absolute obedience can humanity be spared the horrors that dwell beyond the veil.
