M42 (Era Indomitus)

The Charadon Campaign

A sprawling war for a forge-rich sector saw green tides and plague legions clash with the Imperium amid rust and ruin.

The Charadon Campaign erupted across a sector of forge-worlds and industrial hells in the turbulent years after the Great Rift split the galaxy asunder. The region had long festered as a haven for greenskins, and the Orks of the Charadon empire had carved out a brutal domain amid the smoke-choked worlds, their scrap-fortresses and looted war-engines a constant threat to Imperial supply lines.

When the Imperium moved to reclaim the sector, it found the war more complex than a simple greenskin cull. The Orks fought with typical savage glee, their Waaagh! rolling across contested worlds, but they were not the only claimants. The plague legions of the Death Guard had also cast their diseased eye upon the region, seeking to transform the forge-worlds into engines of contagion. What began as a war of reconquest became a three-sided grinding stalemate of rust, rot, and gunfire.

The campaign became a crucible for the newly reinforced Imperial armies of the Indomitus era, testing Primaris reinforcements and Mechanicus expeditionary forces against foes that would not yield. Worlds changed hands again and again, each conquest bought in blood and each holding tenuous. Charadon remains a churning warzone to this day, a testament to how thinly the Imperium's strength is stretched across a galaxy aflame, where victory is measured only in the ground held until the next dawn.
