The Terrorgheist is a horror dragged up from the lightless caverns beneath the Old World and reanimated by the vampire lords, a titanic bat-creature of tattered wing and exposed bone, so vast it blots out the moon when it takes wing. Half its flesh has rotted away to reveal the cavernous ribs and grinning skull beneath, and from that skull comes its most dreadful weapon: a shriek of such unnatural pitch and force that it can burst eardrums, still hearts, and shatter the wits of living men caught before it, killing without a single blow being struck. Those who survive the scream must then face the beast itself, its raking claws and its great fanged maw tearing through ranks and plucking riders from their saddles. It is a creature of pure predatory hunger, restrained only by the will of the vampire who woke it, and it fights with the abandon of a thing that death has already claimed once and no longer fears. When a Terrorgheist descends shrieking out of the night sky, whole regiments have been known to die of terror before it even lands.
