The Lahmians are the eldest of all the bloodlines, for their queen Neferata was the first mortal ever to master the secret of the blood, distilling immortality in drowned Lahmia while the Priest Kings of Nehekhara still ruled the living day. Cast down and hunted across the centuries, she learned a lesson her get have never forgotten: a throne is a target, but the hand behind the throne is safe. The Lahmians do not rule where the crowds can see them; they rule the ones who wear the crowns.
Theirs is a war of decades and whispers rather than banners. A Lahmian sisterhood works through favour, blackmail, and the confessor's ear, seeding every great city of the Old World with agents who do not always know whose purpose they serve. Beautiful beyond suspicion and patient beyond mortal reckoning, they hollow a kingdom from within long before a single sword is drawn.
Above it all sits Neferata, enthroned in the fastness of the Silver Pinnacle, playing a game whose moves are counted in generations: against the living, against the bloodlines who scorned her, and against the Von Carsteins who took the name she considers hers by birthright.
