Helblaster Volley Gun

The Helblaster Volley Gun is the most feared and most temperamental war machine in the Imperial arsenal: a cluster of nine or more blackpowder barrels mounted on a wheeled carriage, capable of loosing a storm of shot that can scythe down an entire rank in a heartbeat. Where a cannon strikes a single target, the Helblaster hoses death across a whole frontage, and few charges arrive intact once its barrels begin to roar. But such power comes at a price. The engine is fickle and dangerous, prone to jamming, misfiring, and, on its worst days, exploding in a fatal blast that takes its crew with it. The engineers who serve it do so with equal parts pride and terror, coaxing each salvo from the machine and praying the next pull of the lanyard does not end them. When it works, the Helblaster can win a battle single-handed; when it fails, it does so spectacularly.
