Lustria

Lustria is a vast, steaming continent of jungle across the Great Ocean to the west, and the heartland of the Lizardmen. Beneath its dripping canopy lie the temple-cities — Itza, Hexoatl, Tlaxtlan, and their kin — colossal step-pyramids of ancient stone raised in an age before men walked upright, their geometry aligned to stars and ley-lines by a science older than any human kingdom.

Lustria was shaped as the great work of the Old Ones, the enigmatic beings who came to the world in the dawn ages and set it in order. Their servants, the Slann Mage-Priests, still brood atop the pyramids, guarding the sacred plan their masters left unfinished when the polar gates collapsed and Chaos poured into the world. The jungle itself is a weapon: choked with poisonous plants, plague-bearing insects, and monstrous predators, it swallows invading armies whole.

For those who covet it, Lustria is a graveyard dressed as a treasure-house. Its ruins glitter with gold and gilded glyphs, luring adventurers, dark elf corsairs, and greedy men to its shores — and few return. The lizardmen suffer no trespass upon the holy places; skink ambushers, saurus warriors, and towering stegadons rise from the green to drive out the unclean, obedient still to the will of gods who vanished from the world an age ago. To set foot in Lustria is to trespass in a temple as large as a continent.
