Carngrad is a sprawling city of the damned raised in the savage wilds of the Realm of Beasts, a churning warren of iron shanties, blood-pits, and reeking markets clinging to the bones of the Bloodwind Spoil. It owes fealty to no single power but the law of the strong, and within its walls warlords, cutthroats, and Chaos champions carve out petty fiefdoms with axe and treachery.
Here the servants of the Dark Gods gather to trade in slaves, plunder, and forbidden lore, watched over by the ruinous fortress of the tyrant who nominally rules. There is no peace in Carngrad, only truces measured in hours, and the streets run with the blood of duels, betrayals, and massacres. The city feeds upon the endless war of the Spoil, growing fat on the spoils dragged back by raiding warbands.
Beyond its makeshift walls prowl the horrors of Ghur itself, monstrous beasts and the roving war-mobs of the Orruk Warclans, who covet the city's plunder and count its walls a challenge to be broken. Within, the skittering hordes of the Gloomspite Gitz infest the undercity, erupting in fungal madness whenever the moon glows bright. Carngrad endures not through strength of order but through sheer, brutal appetite, a place where survival means being crueler than the crowd, and where every dawn reveals fresh corpses in the mud.
