Rynn's World was a prosperous agri-world of rolling grain oceans and gleaming spires, its skies patrolled by the Space Marines of the Crimson Fists Chapter from the mighty fortress-monastery of New Rynn City. For centuries its citizens tithed grain and faithful sons to the Emperor, secure beneath the azure gauntlets of their protectors.
That certainty ended in an instant of catastrophe. As the Ork WAAAGH! of the tyrant Snagrod fell upon the system, a defensive missile misfired within the fortress-monastery's own arsenal, detonating the Chapter's stockpiles. The blast levelled the citadel and slew all but a handful of the Crimson Fists in a single heartbeat. What followed was not war but survival, as the shattered remnant fought a desperate guerrilla campaign across a world drowning in greenskins.
Chapter Master Pedro Kantor rallied the survivors, and after years of grinding attrition the Orks were broken and cast back into the void. Yet the victory was pyrrhic. Rynn's World remains a scarred monument to how swiftly the Imperium's guardians can be laid low, its ruined cities slowly rebuilt atop the bones of the dead, a grim reminder that even the mightiest fortress is one accident from annihilation.
