Lucius is a forge world of the Adeptus Mechanicus distinguished above all by its mastery of teleportation. Its manufactorums are threaded with vast arrays that fold space itself, allowing regiments and war-engines to be cast across the void in an instant. This arcane science makes Lucius unlike any other forge, its very foundations humming with energies that lesser magi dare not comprehend.
The world is home to the Legio Astorum, the Warp Runners, a Titan Legion whose god-machines exploit their forge's gifts to translate into battle where the enemy least expects them. Time and again these towering engines have materialised amid enemy lines, their arrival a thunderclap of displaced air and sudden death, before vanishing again to strike anew.
Yet such power exacts a price. The teleportation arrays gnaw at the fabric of reality, and Lucius has known disasters when the warp-gates faltered and things not of this galaxy spilled through the breach. The tech-priests treat their machines with a reverence bordering on terror, for they wield forces older and hungrier than the Imperium itself. To serve on Lucius is to labour forever beside a door that must never be allowed to open too wide.
