Inwit is a world of eternal ice, a frozen sphere locked in perpetual glacial night at the edge of the Segmentum Solar. Its people endured the long dark of the Age of Strife within vast subterranean hive-cities buried beneath kilometres of ice, warring endlessly for warmth, food and survival. From this crucible of hardship came Rogal Dorn, primarch of the Imperial Fists, raised amid the ice-clans before the Emperor reclaimed him.

The folk of Inwit are grim, unyielding and inured to hardship beyond the imagining of softer worlds. Their culture prized discipline, loyalty and the raising of great walls against the killing cold, virtues that Dorn would carry into the Space Marines as the master of siegecraft and fortification. The Imperial Fists long drew their recruits from Inwit's hardy ice-clans, and the world remains bound to the chapter across the millennia.

Today Inwit endures much as it always has, its frozen wastes swept by blizzards that would flay flesh from bone. Its hives grind on in the darkness, tithing warriors and material to the Emperor's endless wars. It is a place where weakness means death and only the resolute survive, a fitting cradle for the most stubborn defenders in all the Imperium of Man.
