Strike Cruiser

The Sisypheum

The Horus Heresy

A battle-scarred loyalist strike cruiser crewed by the broken survivors of Isstvan, waging a lonely, unrelenting war against the traitor Legions.

The Sisypheum is a strike cruiser of the Iron Hands, a wounded and vengeful vessel crewed by survivors dragged from the ash of the Dropsite Massacre. Its hull is a patchwork of hasty repairs and battle-scars, its every deck bearing the marks of a war that has nearly killed it a dozen times over. Aboard it serve the shattered remnants of three loyalist Legions, bound together by a single unyielding purpose: to make the traitors bleed.

Cut off from any wider Imperial fleet, the ship wages a guerrilla war across the fractured stars, striking at traitor supply lines, murdering their champions, and vanishing again into the void before reprisal can find it. Its machine-spirit, half-mad from damage and the strange forces its crew have encountered, is as much a member of the company as any warrior aboard, and its cogitators hoard secrets that could turn the war.

For the Iron Hands who man it, the vessel is a reflection of their own philosophy: flesh is weak, resolve is iron, and a thing broken may yet be rebuilt harder than before. The Sisypheum rolls its burden endlessly up the mountain of the Heresy, never reaching the summit, never once letting the stone fall. It is grief and fury forged into a single relentless blade aimed at the heart of Horus's rebellion.
