Aeldari soul-relics

The Croneswords

Six blades forged from the fading heart of a dying sun, keys to the rebirth of a god and the salvation of a dying people.

The Croneswords are among the most sacred and perilous relics of the Aeldari, six blades forged in the last age of their empire from the substance of the Crone Worlds' dying suns. Wrought before the Fall, they were lost to the Eye of Terror when the birth of Slaanesh consumed the old empire, and for millennia they lay scattered across daemon-haunted worlds within that hellish rift.

The Ynnari, the reborn faction devoted to the nascent god of the dead Ynnead, believe the swords are keys to their people's ultimate salvation. Each Cronesword drinks the souls of the slain, and the gathered power of all six is said to be capable of waking Ynnead fully, that the god of the dead might rise and unmake Slaanesh forever. To recover them, the Ynnari wage a shadow-war across the galaxy, defying craftworld and Commorrite alike.

These are not mere weapons but instruments of prophecy, each one a fragment of the Aeldari's last desperate hope. In the hands of the Ynnari leaders they cut through the enemies of the dying race with a hunger for souls that mirrors the goal they serve. Yet the gathering of the Croneswords is a gamble that could doom the Aeldari as easily as save them, for to wake a god is to risk everything. Six blades, six keys, and a whole species' fate balanced upon their reunion.
