The Obliterator is a nightmarish fusion of Traitor Marine and machine, a hulking horror afflicted by the Obliterator Virus that consumes flesh and metal alike. Once a warrior of the Legions, it has become a lumbering avatar of weaponry, its swollen body sprouting cannon barrels, ammunition feeds and crackling energy coils from beneath a rind of living ceramite.
An Obliterator does not carry weapons so much as birth them at will. Its warped biology can conjure whatever armament the moment demands, reshaping molten metal into lascannons, plasma throwers or storm bolters between one thunderous stride and the next. This ceaseless mutation grants it a terrifying versatility, able to slaughter infantry, gut armour and swat aircraft from the sky without ever reloading.
Marching in slow, implacable cults amid the hosts of the Chaos Space Marines, Obliterators are as much daemon-engine as man. Their minds are all but drowned beneath the hunger of the virus, leaving only a shared, machine-cold lust to destroy, an affliction they spread like a plague across the war-torn galaxy.
