Pulse Weapons

Pulse weapons are the standard firearms of the T'au Empire, advanced energy arms that combine long range with impressive stopping power. A pulse weapon fires bursts of induced plasma pulses, ionised bolts that carry lethal force well beyond the effective range of most infantry weapons fielded by other races. This reach allows T'au soldiers to engage their foes from a distance, whittling down the enemy before they can close, in perfect accordance with the T'au philosophy of measured, ranged warfare.

Compared to a rugged human lasgun, a pulse weapon is more powerful and longer-ranged, reflecting the T'au's swift technological advancement. Their infantry carry pulse rifles and carbines, while heavier pulse weapons arm their battlesuits, drones, and vehicles, filling the battlefield with a hail of glowing blue fire.

The pulse weapon family is designed for versatility and ease of use, equipping the fire warriors who form the backbone of the T'au military. Disciplined ranks of these soldiers, supported by drones and battlesuits, can lay down a withering curtain of fire that few enemies can advance through unscathed. To the T'au, such weapons are not merely tools of war but proof of the superiority of their way, the means by which they carve out an expanding empire in the name of the Greater Good.
