Tor Elyr is a city of slender towers and shimmering waters raised amid the wide lagoons of Ellyrion, in the sunlit east of Ulthuan. Its causeways and pale spires rise from the shallow seas like a mirage, mirrored perfectly in the still lagoon waters, so that the city seems to float between the sky and its own reflection in serene and haunting beauty.
A jewel of the High Elf Realms, Tor Elyr is the heart of horse-loving Ellyrion, and from its environs ride the famed Ellyrian Reavers, light horsemen without equal upon the open plain. When war threatens, the city musters the sea-guard and the noble knights of the realm to hold the shallows, for its lagoons are both a shield and a gateway that a bold enemy might exploit.
That peril is ever-present, for Tor Elyr guards a vulnerable stretch of Ulthuan's coast against the corsairs of Naggaroth and the horrors that swim up from the deep. In ages of great war, the dark kin have landed in force amid the lagoons, and terrible battles have raged across the causeways and shallow waters, the mirrored calm shattered by blood and fire. The elves of Tor Elyr defend their beautiful city with grace and desperate valour alike, knowing that behind its glittering waters lies the soft heartland of Ulthuan, which must never be allowed to fall.
