Ulgu is the Realm of Shadow, a fog-drowned labyrinth of ever-shifting mists, treacherous mirror-mazes and cities that are never twice in the same place. Coalesced from the grey wind of magic, it is the twin and opposite of Hysh, a realm where light dares not linger and every certainty dissolves into illusion. Truth, direction and even memory are unreliable currency in these gloom-wreathed lands.

The Daughters of Khaine make their home amid Ulgu's murk, blood-drinking aelven zealots who worship the murder-god Khaine and dance through slaughter with serpentine grace. From hidden temple-cities veiled by shadow-magic, the witch-queen Morathi weaves her endless intrigues, feeding on carnage to sustain her own dark divinity.

Ulgu rewards guile and punishes trust. Assassins, spies and illusionists thrive where honest folk are lost, and whole armies have marched into its mists never to be seen again. To travel Ulgu is to accept that your guide may be a phantom, your destination a lie, and your own reflection a stranger wearing your face. In the Realm of Shadow, deception is not a vice but the fundamental law of survival.
