The Temple of Hagg Nar

The first and foremost temple of the murder-god's cult, a blood-drenched sisterhood whose High Oracle claims to speak with Khaine's own voice.

The Temple of Hagg Nar is the oldest and most exalted of the sanctuaries of the Daughters of Khaine, raised in the Umbral Veil where the shadow-paths run deepest. It is here that Morathi first gathered her sisterhood, and here that the great Cauldrons of Blood boil hottest, drinking the lifeblood of sacrifices offered to the murder-god in ceaseless, ecstatic rite.

The priestesses of Hagg Nar hold that their temple stands nearest to the shattered soul of Khaine, and that its High Oracle speaks with the god's own voice — a claim that binds a hundred lesser temples to Hagg Nar's will. Within its shadowed halls, novice witch-aelves are drilled in the blade-dances until they move faster than the eye can follow, and the blood-rites that keep the sisterhood young are performed without pause or pity.

Hagg Nar's warriors march to war in a whirl of blades and shrieking devotion, and where the Cauldron rides, the very air grows drunk on slaughter. The temple lends its killers to the armies of Order when it suits Morathi's schemes, though the free peoples never quite forget that the Daughters worship murder itself, and that Hagg Nar's altars are always thirsty.
