The Lodge of the Vostarg is among the most storied of the fire-forged brotherhoods of the Fyreslayers, a lodge whose long history is written in ash and molten rune. Where other lodges sell their axes for ur-gold with mercenary coldness, the Vostarg fight as much for glory and the honour of their ancestors as for payment, and they scorn any who would forget the deeds of the forefathers.
At the heart of the lodge lies its magmahold, a subterranean forge-city built around a great fyreforge where the runemasters hammer glowing ur-gold directly into the flesh of their warriors. So laden with these runes, a Vostarg fyreslayer becomes a living conduit of Grimnir's fiery essence, his skin near-impervious and his axe wreathed in flame. The lodge musters great herds of magmadroths, the fire-drakes ridden to war by its mightiest sons.
The Vostarg march readily to the aid of the free peoples, though never for free, and their coming turns the tide of many a desperate siege. They remember that Grimnir was shattered slaying a god, and they seek his scattered essence in every seam of ur-gold — for to the Vostarg, gold is not merely wealth, but the sacred remains of their sundered deity.
