Ophelia VII is one of the holiest worlds in the Imperium, a Shrine World whose surface is all but covered by the sprawling ecclesiarchical city that gives it renown. Cathedral rises upon cathedral, basilica upon basilica, until the horizon is a jagged silhouette of spires, bell-towers and gilded domes beneath a sky heavy with incense-smoke and the tolling of ten thousand bells.

The world is a seat of great power within the Adeptus Ministorum, and it hosts one of the principal convents of the Adepta Sororitas, the warrior-nuns whose faith is armour and whose zeal is a blade. From Ophelia the Sisters march to war across the segmentum, their oaths sworn before its high altars, their relics drawn from its deep vaults. Endless columns of pilgrims trudge through its holy streets, hoping to die within sight of its sacred stones.

Beneath the piety runs a current of iron. Ophelia has known intrigue and bloodshed, schisms within the faith and assaults from without, and its clergy wield authority that reaches across many worlds. In the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium, Ophelia VII stands as a beacon of unyielding devotion, a fortress of belief where the fires of faith burn hot enough to consume any who would question the God-Emperor's dominion.
