Mandragora is the crownworld of one of the great Necrons dynasties, a tomb realm whose surface bristles with obsidian monoliths and geometric monuments raised in an age before mankind first crawled from the mud of Terra. Beneath its silent wastes lie stasis-crypts beyond counting, in which the immortal nobility of the dynasty slumbered through the long millions of years since the great sleep.

Now the tombs have begun to wake. The phaerons and lords of Mandragora rise from their thrones of dormancy with memories of empire undimmed, gazing upon a galaxy overrun by upstart lesser races and finding it a squalid insult to their ancient majesty. From this crownworld they marshal their reawakening legions, dispatching gilded phalanxes and soul-scouring war-machines to reconquer the domains their kind ruled when the stars were young.

Mandragora is no barbarous warhost but a realm of terrible order, its lords bound by codes of honour and dynastic pride older than any human institution. To stand upon its surface is to stand upon a mausoleum the size of a world, where every stone remembers dominion and every crypt hoards a patience that outlasts empires. When Mandragora rises in full, the galaxy will remember who ruled it first.
