The Heavy Flamer is the pitiless elder brother of the standard flamer, a bulky promethium projector that vomits a torrent of clinging, superheated fire across a far greater span. Where lesser flame weapons scorch, the heavy flamer engulfs, drowning entire positions in a roaring inferno that no amount of cover can turn aside.
It is a weapon of purgation, wielded across the Imperium wherever the enemy must be cleansed rather than merely killed. The Space Marines mount it upon Terminators, Dreadnoughts, and transports to clear boarders and infest ruins, while the warrior-sisters of the Adepta Sororitas treat its flame as a sacrament, the physical expression of the Emperor's cleansing wrath poured upon heretic and xenos alike.
There is no defence against fire that clings and burns until flesh, armour, and prayer are alike reduced to ash. The heavy flamer's fuel is blessed, its ignition rites intoned by preachers and Techmarines, and its roar carries the promise that whatever ground it touches shall be purified. In the grim theatre of war it is mercy and murder in a single searing breath.
