The Q'orl are a species of large, insectoid xenos native to the world of Bhotan, organized into a rigid hive society ruled absolutely by a single Swarm Queen. From her hidden chambers she governs a caste-bound civilization of workers, warriors, and specialists, each bred and shaped to its purpose. The Q'orl have expanded well beyond their homeworld, carving out a modest interstellar domain through the same disciplined aggression that defines every layer of their society.
Q'orl warriors are formidable, wielding sophisticated weaponry and possessing hardened chitin, gliding wings, and a fearless devotion to the swarm. They are not mindless drones, however, but capable of cunning strategy and swift adaptation, making their armies a genuine threat to any who covet Bhotan's systems. Their society tolerates no dissent; a Q'orl exists only to serve the Queen and the greater hive.
Contact between the Q'orl and the wider galaxy has been limited and often violent, and the Imperium regards them as merely another hostile xenos infestation to be catalogued and, in time, purged. Yet the Q'orl empire persists, insular and self-sufficient, expanding at the edges as its Queens dispatch new swarms to seed fresh colonies. Behind their walls of chitin and discipline, the Q'orl pursue their own unknowable ambitions, indifferent to the wider wars that rage across the stars.
