The Warpsmith is the dark master of the machine among the servants of Chaos, a corrupted counterpart to the Tech-Priests of the Imperium. Trailing a nest of mechadendrites and serpentine mechanical tendrils, he communes with the malign spirits that dwell within engines of war, coaxing daemon and machine into unholy union.
Where a loyal magos venerates the Machine God, the Warpsmith bends technology to the will of the Ruinous Powers. He binds screaming daemons into hulking war-engines, repairs the ruined hulls of tanks and Helbrutes upon the field of battle, and turns the enemy's own machines against them with a whispered blasphemy. His touch is corruption, spreading rust and ruin through the sacred mechanisms he despises.
Once numbered among the Adeptus Mechanicus before turning to damnation, the Warpsmith brings his forbidden lore to the war-hosts of the Chaos Space Marines. He is the artificer of the damned, forging the daemon-engines that stride to war and keeping the infernal machinery of the Long War in murderous working order.
