The Plague Marine is the blighted champion of Nurgle, a Traitor Astartes whose body has become a walking reliquary of disease. Bloated and rotting within cracked, corroded power armour, he oozes pus and filth from a hundred wounds that will never heal, sustained by the perverse blessings of the Plague God.
Such warriors are all but impossible to kill. Their nerves are numb to pain, their ruined organs churn on regardless of injury, and the contagions festering within them make their very presence a lethal hazard. They advance with slow, remorseless purpose, wielding plague knives and blight-encrusted bolters that spread rot with every wound, embodying the grim patience of their grandfather in the warp.
The Plague Marines are the veteran core of the Death Guard, warriors who endured the horrors of the Plague of Unbelief and emerged as immortal carriers of decay. Among the wider Chaos Space Marines they are feared as an unstoppable tide, for one cannot slay that which already welcomes death.
