Octarius is a war-torn region of space consumed by one of the most terrible conflicts of the age, a grinding struggle between two of the galaxy's most voracious species. At its heart lies an Ork empire of staggering ferocity, a domain whose greenskin population wages endless war for the sheer joy of battle, growing stronger and more numerous with every fight.
Into this crucible the Imperium's radical agents once introduced a splinter of a Tyranid hive fleet, a calculated gamble intended to pit two threats against one another and bleed both dry. The scheme succeeded far too well. Rather than annihilating each other, the Orks and the Tyranids each grew ever deadlier through their unceasing war, the greenskins reveling in the fighting while the hive-mind adapted and consumed, both evolving toward monstrous new heights of lethality.
The Octarius war became a self-feeding engine of escalation, a conflict that threatened to spill beyond its boundaries and unleash a horror greater than either combatant alone. What was meant to be a contained experiment metastasized into a catastrophe, and the surrounding systems came to dread the day the war zone might finally burst its bounds. Octarius stands as a warning of Imperial hubris, a reminder that some fires, once lit, can be neither controlled nor extinguished.
